The GalleryThe first thing that will strike your eyes, from the Galley, throughout the full length of the boat, is the American cherry wood of the upper walls beautifully finished off with a solid mahogany trim. American cherry is an uncommon material in a narrowboat but one that creates a world of difference. The Georgian style handcrafted ceiling is ornately detailed and finished in a washable satin cream. The carpet is a hard wearing beige Hessian-style weave. The ceiling lights throughout are halogen brass down-lighters. The Galley area comprises of handmade base and wall units built on both sides to fully maximise the space and storage potential. The wall units are a combination of solid wood and glassed panels to give that homely English-cottage look and feel. There are windows to the left and the right. The sink is resin cast with a brass mixer tap. The Galley is fully fitted with a cream coloured gas-fuelled oven, grill and separate hob and a 12 volt fridge. |
